Age: 31 Birthdate: November 17. Physical Appearance: 1.75 m, 76 kg. Dark brown hair, hazel eyes. Reasonably handsome, athletic though not a hunk, initially as physically fit as your typical scientist. Degrees: BS Mathematics, MS Physics, PhD Quantum Mechanics. Adam was born in the Midwest to Felix A. and Alicia S. Lesky. His father taught mathematics (algebra, geometry, and calculus) at a nearby high school; his mother was a secretary at a local trucking company. He had three siblings, two younger brothers (Dale and James) and an older sister (Kathryn). Adam was a very bright youngster, if a little quiet and introverted. He showed aptitude for math and science quite early, and by the time he had graduated high school had already qualified to start college at the sophomore course level. He was a Boy Scout, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout in his junior year of high school. In school he played French horn in the band and though he wasn’t an athlete (i.e., he wasn’t a “jock”), he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. Adam met Brian Kittinger when he began graduate school at the age of twenty. Though Adam was in the physics program, he had to take a few computer science courses. He had only average aptitude, so he sought the help of a young fellow graduate student. Brian was outgoing and friendly, and brought Adam into his wide circle of friends. At the conclusion of his master’s degree, Adam transferred to another university to study under the very well-known experimental physicist Dr. Hamden Marsden. It wasn’t until four years later that Adam and Brian were reunited when Brian joined Dr. Marsden’s “suspended animation” project, then just starting up. Adam met Jane the following year when she was added to the program. Her expertise was brought into the program to help assess the genetic effects (on the test subjects—animals) of short- and long-term exposure inside the chamber. |
